    On the final day of our pilgrimage to Sri Lanka, we participated in the solemn opening of the Alokarama Temple in Matale, which was attended by over thousands of Buddhist high monks, practitioners and devotees. The ceremony began with a parade, led by traditional Sri Lankan Ves dancers.     His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, President of Sri Lanka graced the closing ceremony of 14th General Conference of World Buddhist Sangha Youth and the inaugural conference of the World United Buddhist Sangha Cultural Exchange Council. The ceremony was also attended by over 1000 Buddhist monks and laypeople. His Excellency presented Master Wang with an award, recognising his efforts in the promotion and dissemination of Buddhism around the world. #UBSC #SriLanka #WBSY

    The Opening Ceremony of the 14th General Conference of World Buddhist Sangha Youth (WBSY) and Inauguration Ceremony of World United Buddhist Sangha Cultural Exchange Council (UBSC) was held at Central Provincial Council Auditorium in Kandy. Master Wang, as President and Spiritual Leader of WBSY, and Lifetime President of UBSC, delivered an opening address to hundreds of Buddhists and laypeople in attendance. #UBSC #SriLanka #WBSY

    獅國之行── 澳大利亞塔州中國佛教學院斯里蘭卡參訪日誌 2017年10月28日第三天行程: 是日一早,澳大利亞塔州中國佛教學院僧團,在 薄伽梵 智及維摩詰 宗師率領下,出發拜訪WBSY秘書長阿努如達大長老在康提的廟宇之一 Kalalpitiya Purana Viharaya,並參加了供僧儀軌。 之後一行再乘專車到達中部 Matale 區新建豪華渡假酒店「大山酒店 The Grand Mountain Hotel」,進行第七屆上座部佛教、大乘佛教及聖密乘佛教的靈性對話 TMTSD。 靈性對話在酒店的大禮堂內進行,獅國三大佛教二十二區的上座部佛教代表,與大乘佛教的代表,繼承 大聖 釋迦牟尼與持明佛教 至極 智及維摩詰 初祖於二千五百多年前,在毗耶離城進行首次靈性對話的傳統,續華嚴聖緣,相互深刻理解佛教判教十二乘和五乘教判的關係及其歷史流變。 薄伽梵 智及維摩詰 宗師為此屆靈性對話主席。 此屆靈性對話的主題為「為全世界佛教大團結、大和睦、大和諧、大發展而大踏步前進」。 超過六十位僧伽,包括上座部尊貴的聖者們、日本尊貴的佛教代表以及聖密乘的代表展開親切

    The delegation visited Kalalpitiya Purana Viharaya, one of Most Ven. Anuruddha Mahathero’s temples in Kandy, and participated in the Sanghadana ritual.     獅國之行── 澳大利亞塔州中國佛教學院斯里蘭卡參訪日誌 2017年10月27日次天行程: 秘書長阿努如達大長老體諒一眾舟車勞頓,已疲累非常,安排僧團先在可倫坡下塌過境酒店歇息一晚,然後一早起程,往獅國古都康提進發。 斯里蘭卡舊首府及佛教聖城康提(Kandy),是歷史悠久的古都,具深厚的宗教及文化價值,於1988年被聯合國教科文組織UNESCO列為世界文化遺產地,可見其地位非凡。 一眾首站參訪了Meegammana 廟宇,並參加了供僧儀軌。之後,再拜訪了兩位僧王──Malwathu Chapter最尊貴的Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Mahanayaka大長老,及Asgiriya Chapter最尊貴的Warakagoda Chanarathana Mahanayaka大長老。 兩位僧王非常高興澳洲代表團的參訪,與 薄伽梵 宗師作非常密切的交流,相互分享在依斯里蘭卡及海外弘法的經驗及心得。他們對宗師在澳大利亞這基督教信仰為主的西方國家弘揚佛法的行持,表示非常欣賞及欽佩,大家並拍照留念。 黃昏時,僧團參拜了康提最著名的佛牙寺

    A delegation from the Academy, led by Master Wang, visited Sri Lanka during late October to early November. Day 1 activities include participating in Sanghadana and robe offering rituals at a temple in Kandy, paying respects to two of Sri Lanka's Sangharajas, and paying pilgrimage to one of the world's most sacred Buddhist temples -- the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. #SriLanka #UBSC #WBSY
