Orlando Candlelight Vigil
On 15th June 2016, Master Wang led a delegation of over 50 members from the Tasmanian Chinese Buddhist Academy of Australia to attend a candlelight vigil, at Franklin Square in Hobart, for the victims of the Orlando massacre in Florida, USA. Within the teachings of Buddhism, we believe that everybody has Buddha nature, and for this reason, equality should be observed amongst all humankind. As Buddhists, through our practice and interaction with others, we strive to spread the message of harmony, peace, compassion, non-violence and wisdom as taught by the Buddha. Thus, today we joined in solidarity with the Orlando and Hobart community to show support to those who have been affected by this tragedy.
