The Annual General Meeting of Multicultural Council of Tasmania was held on 29 September at The Multicultural Hub in Moonah.
The Academy has been a long supporter of the Council, as we believe it is a reflection of the success of Australia's multicultural policy, which promotes harmony and friendship among different cultures.
A member of our Academy, Elder Guru Vajra Hong-Hao was also re-elected as one of the board members for a third term.
The renewed board of MCOT is chaired by Waqas Durrani, who is also the Youth Chair of the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia.
