Overview

Buddhism originated in India. After Buddhism was transmitted into China during the 1st century BC, it experienced the historical process of intermingling, harmonising, tolerating, merging, cultural exchange and mutual learning, and complementing with local Chinese culture. This resulted in the formation of Chinese Buddhism, which embodies the unique characteristics of the Chinese tradition. Chinese Buddhism can be duly considered as the rare wonderful blossom of the civilisation of the Chinese race, and it is an essential and integral part of the fine traditional culture of China.

On 16th April 1989, Master Zhi-Ji, current Patriarch of Chinese Han Transmission Tantrayana Buddhism - Holy Tantra Gu Fan Mi Jin-Gang-Dhyana Buddhism, travelled overseas to the five continents to disseminate Dharma.
