Tasmanian Chinese Buddhist Academy of Australia, although named as an “Academy”, is not equivalent to the conventional academic research institute commonly found in the society. From the perspective of human beings, this is because the essence of Buddhist doctrines lies in the research of the path to the ultimate liberation of the spiritual life. Consequently, one not only needs to perform in-depth studies and be eager to learn, but must also place a greater emphasis on solid meditative practice and personal verification. Especially for Chinese Han Transmission Esotericism Academy, which is an affiliate of Tasmanian Chinese Buddhist Academy of Australia, it is a research institute of Buddhist Tantrayana with the following primary focuses: studying the cosmology of Buddhist Tantrayana, Holy Tantra Studies, the Holy Tantra Ten Dharma Realms Mandalas of Holy Tantra Studies, the Three Tantra Dharani of Holy Tantra Studies, Spiritual Philosophy, as well as the science of the Human Body. The recruitment of research students will be in accord with specialised fields, with different research directions the nature will also vary.
