It was a privilege for the Academy to once again be invited to perform at the Royal Hobart Regatta on 13 February 2017. As part of the Chinese New Year celebrations, the Academy performed the Vajra Lion Dance. This lion dance was particularly meaningful as we had the honour of having the Governor of Tasmania, Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Kate Warner AC, to dot the eyes of the lions. Following the Academy’s performance, the audience were treated to dance, martial arts and musical performances by the visiting Beijing Students Arts Troupe. We thank the organising committee of the Royal Hobart Regatta for inviting us again to be part of this traditional signature event in Hobart.
