The launch ceremony of the Villa Howden International Wedding Island Project—a joint venture between the Australian Investment Group and the Australian Travel and Culture Group (ATCG)—was held on 19 May 2017 at 10am. Of those in attendance included representative from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne, Vice-Consul Huang Guobin; Premier of Tasmania, The Hon. Will Hodgman MP; Mayor of Kingborough City Council, Cr. Steve Wass; Deputy Director of the China Tourism Office in Sydney, Mr. Luo Dihui; representatives from Tasmania’s development and investment departments; tourism operators; and Chinese community leaders from Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart. Master Wang was also very honoured to have been invited by Mr. William Wei— managing director of Australian Investment Group and the Australian Travel and Culture Group—to attend the launch ceremony.
