The Australian Chinese Business Council (ACBC) Tasmanian Branch held its Lunar New Year cocktail evening at Derwent Room, Wrest Point Casino, on 21 February. Attended by various business and community leaders in Hobart, President of ACBC Tasmanian Branch, Scott Dawkins, addressed the audience before the everyone enjoyed performances. Dignitaries included former Tasmanian governor, Sir Guy Green, Labor MP Madeleine Ogilvie, and Acting Lord Mayor of Hobart, Alderman Ron Christie.
The Academy was honoured to be asked to perform a short lion dance to commence the evening.
